NITE TIME POLLINATOR
Oenothera sp.
Biennial (2 years to bloom)
INFO: This Primrose is a Montana native magical nite time pollinator food source (say that fast five times). She willingly awakens at dusk to open her flowers feeding the rarely seen buzzing nite time pollinators. Stay awake long enough, and become thankful you witnessed some rare nite time magic.
DROUGHT AND DEER RESISTANT.
HOW TO: Mix seed with sand or corn meal then sow on surface of dirt in starting tray OR in a permanent bed ASAP. Keep moist with snow and/or water until they sprout. Seeds need at least 60 days of stratification (cold/wet cycle) to awake from their dormancy. This mimics the natural transition from Winter to Spring for seeds.
