Brassica Juncea
Seed Growers: Wild Garden Seed
Open Source Seed Initiative Variety
This seed hails from Frank Morton and Wild Garden Organic Seed in Oregon. The Wild Garden crew started with their "Magma" and "Golden Frills" and started naturally selecting for a genetic mix containing textures, colors, frizzles, frazzles, and a taste for spicy-ness. If you're interested in growing a "variety" for your special spot, try breeding this mustard. By the way, does any one know where I got the design for this packed? It's on the reverse of a famous US silver half dollar.
Start in trays 3 weeks before setting out in early Spring or direct seed with the early Spring rains to let the rains do their magic. Enjoys organic fertilizer/compost, earthworms, barefoot children, and regular waterings. Please harvest often y'all. YUMMY!
