This seed originates from the old Garden City Seeds Company in Hamilton, Montana. The young Dr. Navazio naturally selected the “Montana Jack” while working for them. My seed farmer friend has been stewarding this seed for 25 years for a flat top version because “They stack easier in the pickup truck.” Turns from green to orange when ripe.  YUMMY YUMMY!!!

This seed is grown “Dry Land” meaning no irrigation, yet irrigation will only grow more pumpkins.  Plant 5 seeds per 'hill' and thin to 3 plants. 'Hills' are mounds of rich dirt/compost and earthworms. Transplant or direct seed 1-2 weeks after your last Spring frost.
