HOW TO
Bio-regionally adaptive seed is grown by Karl Sutton and Fresh Roots Organic Farm near Polson, MT. Originally from the Lower Salmon River area of Idaho, potentially during the early 1900’s. A 3-12 pound beautiful salmon colored hard shell which resists mouse damage. Sweet orange flesh great for pies, soups, and jerky. Stores close to a year in storage.

HOW TO
Direct sow about one week after last Spring frost. Sow in hills 4-6 feet apart with 2-4 seeds per hill. Enjoys chemical free compost/fertilizer and weekly waterings. Over watering can crack shell. Isolate by 1/2 mile or hand pollinate to save pure seed, or save seed from any fruit if you want your own variety. Will not cross with other species of squash.
