These tasty golden beauties come from my friends/owners of Meadowlark Hearth Farm, a certified organic and bio-dynamic farm in Western Nebraska. Fruits would remind any gold miner the color they seek, except for the few green fruits in can throw out. Eat fresh in salads, soup, roast/replant seeds, or dry zucchini... great for human or dog food. :)
Please don't disturb the roots, it's like taking candy away from a baby... who wants that? Direct sow OR start in paper pots 1-3 weeks before transplanting... both 1-2 weeks after last Spring frost. Mature spacing is about 2 feet apart in rows and 3 feet between rows. Loves chemical free compost, earthworms, happy singing children, regular waterings, and plenty of that wonderful sunshine. :)
