BEAN, RATTLESNAKE POLE (organic)
RATTLESNAKE POLE BEAN
Phaseolus vulgaris
95-105 days dry bean
INFO: This heirloom pole bean was grown at the Homestead Organics Farm in Hamilton, Montana and ordered through Triple Divide Organic Seed Co-Op (TDS), a group of certified organic seed growers in Montana. I joined the Co-Op, and they also sell my seed through TDS. :)
7-10 foot long vines with 8 inch long green/purple pods awesome for green/dry beans and dilly beans. Beans are beige with “rattlesnake” like streaks awesome for winter hearty soups.
HOW TO: Direct sow 1-2 weeks after last spring frost with poles, cattle panels, or tall sunflowers to allow vines room to grow. Sow 3-5 seeds per “pole” or 7 seeds per row foot. Water weekly.
SOWS AT LEAST 7 “POLES”
